Welcome to the official website of the City of Auvillar!

The new municipal team that I lead you to present the official website of the City of Auvillar.

This site is primarily intended to address two key concerns are the promotion of our city and enhancing communication between the municipal team and Auvillars.

We are therefore committed to further exploit the preferred communication tool that represents this website. That is why, in the coming weeks and months ahead, we will strive to renovate to make it more dynamic and thus more attractive.
 
Discover AUVILLAR
AUVILLAR is a chief town of the district which includes ten municipalities located in the west end of the Department of Tarn and Garonne. Populated by about 950 residents, the town is located 30 km from Agen, 40 km from Montauban and 70 km from Toulouse.

The territory of the commune of 1560 hectares extends to the tip of the country's successive terraces Lomagne overlooking the valley of the Garonne.

At the end of one of these terraces that was established early in the history of the ancient site of the village. The Garonne flows at the foot of a limestone cliff 60 meters in elevation, atop which is perched the village, dominating the entire valley. A remarkable panorama of the valley and the hills right bank can be assessed from a perspective with an orientation table located at the site of the ancient castle, now disappeared and converted into a public square shaded.

AUVILLAR has two main strengths in tourism
- The one to be ranked among the most beautiful villages in France since 1994. The list was obtained after taking into account expertise of the following criteria:

• The value and diversity of heritage (many historical monuments are ordered or included).
• The quality of its environment, its urban planning and architecture.
• The intensity of measures to improve its quality and its host (enhancement, development, promotion, entertainment).

The quality charter of the Most Beautiful Villages of France obliges us to continue development of our city to maintain this ranking.

- The one to be on the road to Saint Jacques de Compostela.

The European cultural route, which has a large attendance, drains an increasing number of pilgrims and tourists.
 

While in Auvillar for one or several days, you will enjoy the tranquility of our city. To fully enjoy your stay, you will find a quality offer in accommodations and restaurants and shops.
 
Living AUVILLAR
This site is also a vector of privileged communication between the municipal team and Auvillars.

We try wherever possible to make this site a tool for information and communication if not interactive, at least reagent.

Therefore, you will find on this site, besides the presentation of our municipal team and the various services offered by the City Council, information on various events in our city.

We also wish to report regularly to the changing work of the municipal team.

As such, you will be informed of council meetings, have access to the Records of municipal councils. You'll also be informed of the establishment and work of the various municipal committees.

Our goal is to establish a fluid communication between elected officials and the citizenry.

Auvillar inhabitants, visitors, pilgrims, tourists, this site is yours.
